Imp Adventures trek will complete the northern and most difficult, but visually stunning section of the GR20. Starting in Calenzana near Calvi in the north, finishing in 'Castle di Verghio' near Ajaccio (the capital) in the south west.
Six days of fantastic high level trekking including Corsicas highest peak 'Monte Cinto' and the dramatic crossing of the breathtaking 'Cirque de Solitude', trekking for up to 7 hours per day and up to heights of 2200m.
Accommodation will be in basic Alpine huts using freeze dried meals and locally sourced produce. participants will need to be both fit and mentally robust to succeed in this challenge, but a good head for heights and some grit and determination will see most people through.
This trek is the ideal opportunity to join a fully supported and guided trek through one of the most stunning areas of natural beauty. The trek will take place over the period 4- 13 June 2009.
