Easy MTB Trails around 'Austwick' N Yorkshire

For those 'non couch potato' types that fancy a real good day out here's a great little ride in the country round a relatively easy MTB trail that most people would be able to manage with only basic off-road experience and a 'hard tail' Mountain Bike.
The route starts and ends at a good friendly pub in the charming village of Austwick in the Yorkshire Dales, 'The Game Cock' and follows a series of well signposted bridleways around a 'two-loop' 14.5 km circuit of the surrounding countryside.
The route is never too difficult or too technical but offers easy flowing riding with just enough single-track riding to offer a touch of excitement. There are ample places to stop for a breather and tack a few good pictures, and the Game Cock Inn (rooms available) serves a good Sunday Lunch that can be taken in the garden or tables in front of the pub.
A good idea is to do the route before lunch, take a break and have some good 'pub grub' and then do the route again in the afternoon when you have rehearsed the good sections and know the trail better.

The route will take a steady hour and a half and can be found in The Yorkshire Dales MTB guide 'South' page 13. I would give it a 8/10 rating.
